In 1957 a group of businessmen and farmers felt a strong need for a local financial institution. The group raised $250,000.00 in capital, was granted a charter and opened for business on February 4, 1958.
Since those early days, we've steadily grown by staying focused on our customers and the community where they live. Today, Citizens Bank has assets of $179,000,000.00.
The bank remains at its' original location. We have expanded our building as the growth has demanded it. On December 1, 2006 in an attempt to better serve our customers we opened a branch at 722 N Martin St in East Prairie, MO.
